Support Shaped To Fit You

Approach

My Approach

People arrive here for all kinds of reasons, and none of them need justifying, whatever brings you is reason enough. Perhaps life feels hard and there's something you could use support with. Perhaps you're navigating a big life change, tending to an old wound that hasn't healed, or simply feeling lost and a little unsure why. Whatever it is, I offer a confidential space, safe and free of judgement, where you can slow down enough to unpack and understand your own thoughts and feelings. I stay alongside you in that process, not ahead of you and not instead of you: you set the direction, and I'm there to help you find and trust it. My hope is that, over time, you're able to loosen the grip of habits, or an understanding of yourself, that no longer serve you and move toward relationships, and a life, that feel more like the one you actually want. I am trained in an integrative model, which means I don't work from a single modality, but draw on whichever fits you best: existential, humanistic, psychodynamic, and others besides. Sometimes one alone and sometimes several woven together, depending on the shape of what form the work takes. Together we might trace old patterns, sit with loss or rupture, or simply find language for things that have never had any. My aim, above all, is to offer a space where you feel met, heard, understood and safe enough to say the harder things. Alongside warmth and compassion, I hold clear professional boundaries so you can trust the space itself, not just the moment. That kind of steadiness, offered consistently, as well as the therapeutic relationship itself, is where I believe the real change begins.

Concentric Water Ripples

Areas of Focus

Anxiety

A busy mind that won't settle, a body that stays braced, the exhausting effort of trying to stay in control.

Depression & low mood

The heaviness, the flatness, the sense of being at a distance from your own life.  Unpossessed emotions that show up physically in the body.

Relationship difficulties

Recurring patterns, breakdowns in communication, or boundaries that feel impossible to hold.

Trauma

Difficult or painful experiences that need somewhere gradual and safe to be processed.

Grief & loss

The weight of what can't be undone, and learning to live alongside it rather than around it.

Life transitions & self-esteem

The disorientation of big change, and the quieter work of learning to trust yourself.

In addition I work on the following areas:
Abuse · Autism spectrum · Bereavement · Child-related issues · Cultural issues · Disability · Health-related issues · Identity issues · LGBTQ+ counselling · Loss · Menopause · Men's issues · Neurodiversity · Post-traumatic stress · Pregnancy-related issues · Relationships · Self-esteem · Sex-related issues · Sexual identity · Sexuality · Spirituality · Women's issues · Work-related issues.

What To Expect

Therapy works best when it feels safe enough to be honest. Together, we won't just aim to manage patterns of behaviour, we'll explore where they come from and how your history, relationships and inner world feed into what you're feeling  now. That understanding grows out of the relationship between us; a steady, trusted connection is what makes it possible to sit with difficult feelings without being overwhelmed by them. Over time, this builds not just relief, but a stronger, more reflective sense of yourself, real, lasting change rather than a quick fix.

There's no required starting point. Bring whatever feels most pressing, a relationship, a pattern you can't shake, something from your past that keeps resurfacing, or simply the sense that something isn't right. We follow what's alive for you, not a script. What experience has taught me, above all, is that no two people are the same, each of us needs an approach built around us, not the other way round. I work creatively, shaping sessions that are unique to you, while keeping the therapeutic relationship between us at the heart.

Background

My Training & Background

I am a BACP registered counsellor and psychotherapist and holds an MSc in Therapeutic Counselling from the University of Greenwich.

Alongside my academic training, I work relationally and integratively, drawing on psychodynamic, person-centred and body-based approaches, always at your pace and I hold in mind not just your inner world, but the relationships, history and context that have shaped it. I remain in ongoing supervision, as all ethical practitioners are.

Getting Started

Getting Started

There's no charge for our first conversation.

If you're thinking about starting therapy, the idea of that first session can feel like the hardest part. So we start with a relaxed 15-minute call, no obligation, just space to talk about what's bringing you here and get a feel for whether us working together might be right for you.

Our First Session

If the call feels like a good fit, we’ll book in your first session. There's no pressure to know exactly what to say, or to have it all figured out before you arrive. We simply start where you are and explore what's brought you here and what you're hoping might shift.

In Person or Online
I am based in Deptford / Greenwich and can also take sessions online via secure video call, whichever feels more comfortable is fine, and we can talk through what works best for you.

Weekly or Fortnightly
Most people find weekly sessions, at the same time each week, give therapy its own steady rhythm, something that starts to hold you outside the room too. Working integratively means paying attention to what's happening in the present moment, in the body, and in patterns that often stretch back further than either of us expects at first. For some, fortnightly sessions suit better, easing in gently, or working around practical constraints. We can talk through what pace feels right for you.

Fees

One of sessions are £85 per 50 minutes, reduced to £75 per session if booked in packages of six or more.

I also hold a number of sessions aside for low-cost therapy, for those on a limited income, please get in touch to find out more.
